Welcome from the President
Since its charter in 1941, the Sleepy Hollow Citizens' Association (SHCA) has performed a vital function in the community. This dedicated all-volunteer organization of concerned citizens is involved in a wide range of neighborhood issues that affect the quality of life and property values in our neighborhood. The Legend, the neighborhood newsletter, maintains a long tradition of capturing the neighborhood character and keeping residents current on news, issues, and events. The association also offers an active neighborhood watch, educational opportunities, homeowners' meetings, and community events.
The association has built a strong relationship over the years with district, county, and state government entities. That relationship has been instrumental in gathering support to fight detrimental development and secure development that enhances the area. In addition, the SHCA has a reciprocal relationship with other nearby neighborhood associations to assist and support each other with common issues and concerns.
The success of any civic association depends on the collective efforts of many people. All Sleepy Hollow residents are strongly encouraged to join SHCA and take an active role in helping to maintain the integrity, resident security, and friendly character of our beautiful neighborhood.
President (2008–2009), Sleepy Hollow Citizens Association
